Web Wednesday and a dash of Paris

Happy Web Wednesday & Happy Halloween everyone!

I wanted to share with you a website I LOVE; Saffron Avenue.

She has a clean sense of style. She's does custom web design and also designs paper products like business cards and other stationary items. You can view her Etsy store from her site. VERY clean, cute designs. You can also see posts about food and beverage, weddings, and branding & packaging (which is an internal obsession of mine)
When my blog grows up one day I will use her for inspiration at least if I can't hire her!
Her logo above is linked. Click and check it out. Enjoy.

And now for a little Oooh la la....

I became a fan of Grace Potter when she got ever so lucky to sing with Kenny Chesney on his song, You and Tequila Make Me Crazy.

But then, I found that her own style of music was completely different, and I love her even more. I have one of her albums and have been meaning to share this for a while.

If I were a rock star I think I would be just like her.

Click, watch, listen and listen loud (of course) and enjoy.

Stay safe tonight everyone!

The Great Cover ~ Product Review

During the last 3 months of poverty I've experienced, I've had to get crafty with what I bought and spend wisely... if that's even possible these days.
There are SEVERAL things I have done without, but I did  have one item that I absolutely couldn't do without. I ran out of concealer at the wrong time... when I couldn't afford to but more of the one I was using. It was up over $20. I don't sleep very much these days and I need all the help I can get to not look like a zombie. So, while at Target one day I got the Garnier Skin Renew Anti Dark Circle Roller (I added the link if you wanna click to read more about it). I was already using their Skin Renew Anti-Puff Eye Roller; but this was the same with WITH concealer in it! They seriously last forever. You use so little each time that it really extends the life of the product. It runs around $7-$9 depending on if you get it at Target or Wal-Mart or your drug store.

My recommendation: When using it, apply under your eye after applying your moisturizer. Let the concealer dry completely, it will lighten up a little more and soak in. The product comes in Light/Medium; no matter what your skin tone (lighter then "dark") if you let it totally dry and then apply your foundation or powder you will get a good result and will blend just fine.
It's got a cooling factor to it too, which helps with the puffiness.

The Dog Days are Over...

I have this odd secret love for Florence and the Machine. I'm intrigued by her. And I'm most certain no one sounds like her or can mimic her sound.

But, last week when I watched The voice a couple girls battled it out to Dog days are over with the ever so perfectly entertaining Blake Shelton's assistance. (Him and Miranda are two of my favorite people)
The girls did good enough to not ruin the song for me, thank god.

The song is unusually addictive. I can only listen to it blaring; it's that kind if song that's infectious enough to make you dance like a freak and sing along.
Try it, you'll forget about what you were doing prior to starting the song, which is good for me right now cause whatever is in my head these days I like to forget and leave it behind. :-)

Here's the Florence Video and The Voice attempt is below it :-)
